bEUcitizen conference in Oviedo

From 29 June until 1 July, the last consortium meeting before the end of the bEUcitizen project takes place in Oviedo (Spain). All bEUcitizen researchers (appr. 80) will attend this conference, where the research carried out in the past 3 years will be brought together and integration of findings will get a boost.

Through Work Package meetings and five panel sessions where all WPs take a seat, we will combine insights from all the Work Packages (on RIGHTS, on CATEGORIES and TIME and PLACES). Of course, the Brexit will be an important part of the discussion this year. We will look at it from a citizenship perspective, broadening it with our findings on political participation (see e.g. deliverable 8.6), the rise of right wing parties and gender (deliverable 9.7 is upcoming – for consortium members, please go to the bEUcitizen google drive to download this deliverable). Martin Seeleib-Kaiser (coordinator WP6) also states in his recent blog that the Brexit was mostly about immigration (see e.g. deliverable 10.1, and 10.2) and social rights (see e.g. deliverable 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3).

More news and insights from the project will follow on our website soon.
