Silvia Adamo, PhD, LL.M.

Silvia Adamo has studied law in Italy and Portugal and completed her L.L.M. and Ph.D. in Denmark. She is currently a Postdoc at the Centre for European Studies in Economic Law, Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. Her research interests and publications involve migration law, citizenship law, critical legal theory, linguistic diversity, and the interaction between law and political philosophy on multiculturalism. Silvia has been teaching courses on legal philosophy and citizenship law at postgraduate level. She is the co-editor of the book ‘Linguistic Diversity and European Democracy’ (Ashgate, 2011) and the editor of ‘Retfærd, Nordic Journal of Law and Justice’. Silvia has been a visiting scholar at Queen’s University, Department of Philosophy, Ontario, Canada (2006), UC Berkeley School of Law, Boalt Hall (2011) and the European University Institute, Florence (2012).
